Juneteenth Community Day 2024

Colleague and friend, brilliant Cassidy Moses led a simple yet powerful meditation outside National Museum of African American History & Culture on the east lawn. Keeping with the theme of the museum-wide celebration a quote by A. Philip Randolph was shared to contemplate by those assembled: “Freedom is never given, it is won.”

We must stay engaged or our freedom will be taken.

Joy and promise will die.
