Ukraine As "Stupid Stuff"...Response to a Social Media Post

"[S]tupid stuff"?? As you write above, I am a member of a family, for generations both sides, who continue to need to "knuckle down and quit [ostentatiously] spending money." Not that we've ever had the opportunity to do so. The federal programs and agencies currently being slashed were created when our country had hit "hard times." Empathy acquired by the United States as it worked with the global community to help heal and repair the wrath of WWII, made us a stronger country. To imply that those threatening, attacking, collapsing the systems that have served to maintain the longest standing democracy; that have helped support Humanity...that those individuals understand and/or have experience implementing a sustainable pathway toward getting any house in order is a fallacy. Trails of unpaid bills, multiple bankruptcies, and self-branding on the achievements of others' work/expertise is their éclat. Be well. Be safe. And may your house find order in the chaos created by this administration.
